According to news reports, Naxalites in the Dantewada area of Chaatishgarh are not happy about the fact that actor Akshay Kumar and Indian badminton player Saina Nehwal donated money and gave assistance to the families of Sukma attack martyrs.
Earlier this month both Akshay and Saina had given Rs. 6lakh to the families of 12 CRPF jawans who were killed in a Naxal attack in Sukma last month.
Giving Rs. 50,000 each to each family, both had expressed grief to the family and hoped to help them in any way they can.
The gesture though didn’t go down well with the Naxals and they recently distributed a pamphlet in the area of Bastar condemning the act.
In the pamphlet, they also appealed the people to thrash police and beaurocrats in the area so as to drive them away.
They further called CRPF jawans government paid dogs (sarkari kutte) and after condemning Akshay and Saina’s act, requested all the celebrities to also show solidarity towards the poor and condemn human act violation and act of suppression committed by government workers and policemen in the area.
They further appealed the people to celebrate 50 years of Naxalites from May 23 to May 29 by putting up banners and distributing pamphlets, asking people to oppose corporate houses in the area.
