Growing up on Bollywood as my staple diet, a love triangle is no news. But when it’s a movie starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui from the makers of critically acclaimed movies like “Lunchbox” and “Gangs Of Wasseypur”, one should expect the unexpected.
After much controversies, “Haramkhor” has finally been able to get an U/A certificate from Censor board and is set to release on January 13th, 2017. In a twisted tale of a love triangle set in rural India, Haramkhor is coming out looking like a piece of eccentric, unconventional cinema.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays the school teacher who is not just involved in an illicit love affair with his student Sandhya but is also married.
The third angle in the story is Kamal, an adolescent classmate who has a crush on Sandhya . He is not just jealous of his teacher dating her but also believes in an absolutely weird notion that if he sees sandhya naked, he would be considered married to her. (Speak of lack of sex education in India!)
Unconventional to the core, the trailer seems promising to give us a piece of real, hilarious and hitting cinema.
