Unlike other Bollywood stars who prefer to go on an exotic destination for a holiday, Nawazuddin Siddiqui relaxes by doing farming.
The acclaimed actor recently went to his village in Budhana, Uttar Pradesh, for a much-needed ‘vacation’. There, he spent his time farming.
Nawaz told Mumbai Mirror:
“I visit my village twice in a year and make sure to spend some time at the farms. I used to farm till the age of twenty-two before I got busy with other things. I really enjoy farming and do it whenever I get a chance to visit my home town. It’s our ancestral occupation. This time I was tending to the vegetable patch.”
While it is difficult for celebrities to even take a walk without people asking for autographs, Nawaz said same is not the case in his village.
“Absolutely not, the villagers have known me for years and watching me farming is not a new sight for them. There are many other farms adjacent to ours and everyone is busy with their own chores.”
Besides farming, Siddiqui also has plans to boost development in his village. He said that he wants to set up a college, which would give out B.Ed and LL.B degrees.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui is one of India’s most respected actors. His struggle before he made a place for himself in Bollywood continues to inspire many.
