Eighteen years ago in the month of July, the Indian Army recaptured all the Indian posts in Kargil that had been occupied by Pakistan’s army. Since then, July 26 has been observed annually to commemorate the sacrifices made by soldiers in this war. It is needless to say that this period was a tough time for not only the Indian Army but for the entire nation.
However, there is no harm in healthy humor, right? Well, we don’t know about your thoughts on comedy during the war but some Indian soldiers were definitely into it. Sources tell us that apparently one of the warheads was scribbled with a funny joke during the Kargil War. Yes, you read that right!
It is believed that a warhead used during the Kargil conflict was scribbled with the letters – “from Raveena Tandon to Nawaz Sharif”. We all know that Raveena Tandon is a popular Bollywood actress and Nawaz Sharif was the then Prime minister of Pakistan.
If rumors are to be believed, Nawaz Sharif had said during his pre-war visit to India that his favorite Bollywood actress was Raveena Tandon! Well, this explains the scribble on the bomb then!
This picture surely says a thousand words. It also reminds us of the hard times during the war, on the other hand, healthy humor amidst the conflict. The situation between the two nations is never sorted out, for Pakistan will always remain a bitter part of India’s history.
