A few months ago, Tollywood actress Sri Reddy had triggered a huge row over the issue of casting couch in the film industry. A number of actors opined the same as her but things took an ugly turn when she stripped on the street in front of the Movie Artistes Association’s office at Filmnagar in Hyderabad. Her “protest” did not end at this point. The actress went on to allege that filmmakers did not give her work despite sending them her nude pictures on their demand.
Sri Reddy even claimed that Rana Daggubati‘s brother Abhiram Daggubati had forced sex with her in the studio. Then she leaked her private chat with director Kona Venkat who had allegedly made sexual advances towards Reddy.
Now, in a recent development in the matter, Tollywood actor and producer, Nani has sent a legal notice to Sri Reddy. The actress had accused him of keeping her out of television reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ deliberately. In a series of social media posts, Sri Reddy had made several accusations on Nani’s character. Now, the actor has filed a defamation case against Reddy, attaching screenshots of her social media posts.
Nani has demanded an unconditional apology from Reddy, which the actress is supposed to furnish within a period of 7 days. If she fails to do so, legal proceedings would be initiated against her. As per a report by TOI, Hyderabad Times has accessed the legal notice which reads as follows:
“The statements were neither substantiated nor any details with respect to the allegations were mentioned by you, thereby clearly indicating that the said statements made by you are false and are being made only to defame our client. A number of other endorsements which were being negotiated by our client and were in the pipeline are also being canceled pursuant your illegal actions of defaming our client. Therefore, your actions have clearly damaged the reputation of our client and has also caused a severe loss of financial and business opportunities.”
The actor also came up with an elaborate tweet in this regard. Take a look:
