He is the one among very few civilians who gets Z category of protection. This is mainly provided to high-powered government officials and politicians. However, he pays for his protection cover that amounts to few lakh every month.
In his protective detailing convey, he has some of the costliest vehicles. Consisting of custom-made cars and bikes, his security is handled in a highly professional manner.

This video was captured when his convoy was crossing the streets of Mumbai. While he was traveling in armored Mercedes-Benz S-Guard, the security personnel followed him in BMW X5. The BMW X5 that lead the convoy carries a logo of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Though owned by Reliance industries, it’s the costliest car used by the force in entire India. Close behind the BMW X5 was Mercedes-Benz S-Guard which was again guarded by another BMW X5. A Scorpio from local police is also seen at the end of the convoy.
The Mercedes-Benz S-Guard in which Ambani travels costs more than Rs 5 Cr. The glasses of the luxury sedan are customized and replaced with bulletproof ones. Moreover, they have the ability to provide ballistic protection from military grade weapons. The car can run and go up to 80 km/hr with a flat tyre.
Recently, he also added two modified versions of the Royal Enfield Bullet Electra in his security detail. It will be given to two police officers.
