At a recent event, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani talked about the importance of money in his life. While speaking at the HT Leadership Summit, he said: “Money has never meant much to me. I abhor the labels and the titles that all of you refer to me.”
“To me, resources enable you to take risks from a company point of view. It gives you a little bit of flexibility,” he said. Making the conversation more interesting he also talked about how on a day-to-day basis, he deals with his habit of carrying no money and credit cards.
He explained further, “On a personal level, very few people know this from childhood, in school and now, I have never carried money. I don’t have a credit card, I don’t carry cash in my pocket. I always have somebody around me who pays for me. So that works.”
During his speech, Mukesh Ambani also focused on a few major points related to India’s economy. He stated that before 2024 India’s economy will grow by leaps and bounds, and the country will become a $5 trillion-economy in the next few years.
He also mentioned that India’s rise will be higher than that of China during the middle of the 21st century. He also contended that the world will achieve more in the next 30 years than it did in the last 300 year. Mr. Ambani emphasized that artificial intelligence is the foundation of the fourth industrial revolution.
