Mahendra Singh Dhoni has always managed to keep his fans entertained not only through his performance on the field, but also through his hairstyles. His mother recently defended his latest photo that has been doing the rounds on social media through a video uploaded on his daughter Ziva’s Instagram handle. The former Indian team caption looked significantly different in it thanks to the grey beard that he has been sporting these days.
In a recent interview, Dhoni’s mother responded to a question on his appearance and stated he isn’t that old. “Yes, I have seen his new look but he is not that old. No child is ever old for any mother,” Dhoni’s mother was quoted as saying by BDcrictime.
While Dhoni had done away with his long hair more than 10 years ago, he had stunned everyone by shaving his head after the 2011 World Cup triumph. During these years, he even tried the bearded look before going back to the clean-shaved one during the 2019 World Cup. And now, his photo in a white beard and special forces t-shirt is going viral on social media. Although the cricketer didn’t sport any long hair, he looked tired and somewhat pale. However, what caught the eye was the greyness of his beard that was not the usual salt-pepper look but all grey with tinges of white.

Dhoni was last seen playing for India in the World Cup semi-final which India lost against New Zealand. Since then, he has been on a sabbatical from the game.
The return of this veteran wicketkeeper-batsman was much-awaited last month through the thirteenth edition of the IPL. He had also started his training for the season and several videos of him were doing the rounds in the build-up to the tournament. But the coronavirus pandemic changed everything as the BCCI suspended the league till mid-April before deciding to suspend it indefinitely due to the nationwide lockdown. We really hope to see Dhoni back on the fields soon with his amazing quick wicket-keeping reactions and helicopter shots.
