In a goodwill gesture Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan met a poor Muslim girl Shaina and her family on December 13 at their residence Pandya Khedi, Ujjain, and instructed officials to look after her wedding.
He gave good wishes to Shaina for a happy and wonderful life ahead as she weds on December 24.
The Madhya Pradesh chief minister also instructed Ujjain district collector Sanket Bhondwe and BJP district president to look after Shaina’s Nikah, and be present at the Nikah to take care of arrangements.
He also said that every girl child of Madhya Pradesh is state’s daughter and she should not be deprived of anything that is rightful to her.

In a tweet he said that during his last visit in Ujjain, Shaina’s poor parents had shared their inability to perform their daugther’s Nikah.
Earlier this month, Chouhan attended the wedding ceremony of the daughter of Ramashankar Yadav, head constable who was killed in Bhopal jailbreak.

The MP CM also gifted his daughter Sonia appointment letter for Group 3 job. He also welcomed the guests.
Giving his heart-felt wishes to the newly-weds, he called Sonia “daughter of the state.” “Even though I can’t take the place of a father in Sonia’s life, but by hosting the wedding I have fulfilled the duties of a father,” he had said. He further added that a job in the state secratariat will ensure a secure, happy future for Yadav’s daughter.
