Mohammed Kaif Was Forced To Assert His Faith In Islam After He Posted Pictures Of Surya Namaskar

Published on 1 January, 2017 at 1:28 pm By

After cricketer Mohammed Shami, RJ/VJ Mir Afsar Ali and Kashmiri IAS officer Shah Faesal it is the turn of cricketer Mohammed Kaif to face criticism for an ‘un-Islamic’ act.

On December 31, the New Year’s Eve, the cricketer posted this tweet with combo photos of him doing Surya Namaskar.

He mentioned how beneficial for the body the yoga-asana is. And as one of the most agile cricketers India has ever seen, Kaif is the right person to go to for fitness tips.

Yet some enlightened minds found his pose so offensive that they thought of educating the cricketer on what-not-to-do-to-ensure-you-are-a-good-Muslim lesson.

Obviously irritated, Kaif posted this tweet telling the ignoramuses the difference between religion and an exercise.

But it is not that Kaif got only negative responses for doing Surya Namaskar. There were many who supported him, and these voices were of Muslims, too!

It is 2017 and some people are simply unable to differentiate between religious belief and a simple exercise.
