Some miscreants have posted “Modi Missing” posters in the holy city of Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.
The posters that have a photograph of PM Modi, say:
PM Modi, Varanasi Sansaad Missing.
Jaane Woh Kaunsa Desh Tha Jahan Tum Chale Gaye.
The poster also says that PM Modi was last seen in Varanasi on March 4, 5 and 6 2017 while participating in a roadshow and appealing to the public for votes. The upset and concerned Varanasi residents were hence prompted to file an FIR and issue missing posters with a hope to find him. The posters were found pasted on walls across the city and the police are now probing into the matter.

Ever since PM Modi won from the Varanasi constituency, the textile industry in the city is under a major revamp. The PM has also emphasized on youth and skill development and on “Swachchta Abhiyaan” in the city. He also launched the financial inclusion initiative the city in 2015. Recently, the cabinet has approved the six-laning of Handia-Varanasi section of NH-2.
In 2015, Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe and his wife, had accompanied Modi for a grand Ganga aarti to Varanasi and had spoken extensively on the cultural and religious ties between the two nations.
Earlier, posters that announced that Rahul Gandhi has gone missing were found across Amethi in Uttar Pradesh. Rahul Gandhi had won in the Amethi constituency during the last general elections.
