The event that would be held on May 28 at Delhi’s India Gate, is expected to be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself along with most of his ministerial colleagues.

The government organized event is being called — ‘Zara Muskura Do’ (Smile Please)— which will also host several performances and programmes that highlight government’s “achievements” in the past two years.

To make audience part of the experience, the show would also be broadcast across India via Doordarshan.

The scheduled programmes are said to highlight government’s various schemes such as Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Digital India and Rural Electrification.

Such programmes will also be held in various other cities, with BJP planning to hold over 200 events across India between May 26 to June 10.

Last year too, the Modi government had celebrated in similar fashion with the tagline ‘Saal Ek, Shuruaat Anek’.
