Sushma Swaraj Slams Pakistan At The UN; Gets Appreciated By PM Modi In A Series Of Tweets

Published on 24 September, 2017 at 1:02 pm By

World leaders have gathered under one roof in New York to attend the 72nd UN General Assembly session. Eenam Gambhir recently gave a befitting response to Pakistani PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, who accused India of indulging in terror activities against his nation. Another strong personality who won the show and made India proud at the UN is none other than India’s External Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj. While addressing her speech at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on September 23, she spoke about India’s concern of Pakistan’s connection with terror activities, climate change, poverty, and more.

The External Affairs Minister, in her strong speech, talked about the differences that India and Pakistan have and how the two nations are way different from each other.

“We (India) are engaged in fighting poverty, while our neighbour Pakistan is engaged in fighting us. We [India] made IITs, IIMs, AIIMS. But Pakistan, what did you make? Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, Haqqani network…”

She slammed the enemy nation for taking the lives of innocents and falsely accusing India.

“The country that has caused the death of so many innocents is trying to teach us about humanity.India and Pakistan won freedom at the same time. But has Pakistan asked itself why India is perceived as the IT superpower of the world, and Pakistan as the pre-eminent export factory of terror.”

Talking about the constant progressive steps that India is taking, Sushma Swaraj said:

“India has risen despite Pakistan’s nefarious export of terrorism. We have been a sustained democracy. PM Narendra Modi has offered the hand of peace and friendship. Pakistan’s Prime Minister must answer why his nation spurned this offer.”

Throwing some light on the subject of unite and fight and how terrorism is an “existentialist danger” to mankind, the minister said:

“If we cannot agree to define our enemy, how can we fight together? If we continue to differentiate between good terrorists and bad terrorists, how can we fight together? If even the United Nations Security Council cannot agree on the listing of terrorists, how can we fight together?”

The EAM has always been in the news for reaching out to people and helping them. She has been time and again appreciated for the efforts she has been putting to serve her duties. Now, again, Sushma Swaraj has won our hearts with her words against Pakistan and against all the false accusations the PM of that nation has made against us.

Her speech even left Prime Minister Narendra Modi spellbound. The PM highly appreciated Swaraj in a series of tweets.

Here’s what the PM said while congratulating the MEA for her speech at the UN:
