According to the media reports, Indian army conducted surgical strikes on Wednesday night at the LOC. The attack was aimed at the infiltrated terrorist groups which eventually had 35-40 terrorists along with 9 Pak Army men killed.

Depending on your rigid and bias opinion, if this a news to celebrate or not is highly debatable. However, some companies like Mobikwik,Cafe Wink and Burger Singh seems to have already monetized the tense situation at the border.
Cafe Wink is giving out ‘FPak’ coupons (which obviously mean, ‘Fuck you Pakistan!’) to invite us to have coffee and munchies while there are firing and killings happening on the border. Mobikwik, a mobile recharge app is giving out ‘1STSTRIKE’ code to celebrate the first attack. Famous food chain ‘Burger Singh’ is also providing 20% off with the coupon ‘fpak’ . Seemingly, they are looking forward to more of them – which by the way will have our own Indian soldiers participate and shed blood. Do we really want a full-fledged war?
The recent attacks on the border have been brutal and unjustified. Yet, a marketing gimmick like this – is this justified?
With all due respect to the soldiers on the border, Army’s decision shall hopefully be in the best of our interest. But anyway, war and violence are deemed to be the last resort. Whoever attacks whoever – both sides are killed. No one celebrates the killing, not even the army for that matter.
