This Is What Mira Kapoor Has To Say In Support Of Padmaavat

Published on 24 January, 2018 at 3:49 pm By

Shahid Kapoor’s wife Mira Rajput is not new to Instagram and when it comes to showering her affection for her hubby Shahid Kapoor or her adorable daughter Misha on Instagram (who was named after both her parents – Mi from Mira and Sha from Shahid), she never disappoints her followers. The devoted mummy keeps us updated time and again with her family pictures, where she can be seen having a play date with her cute kid or looking glamorous with her handsome husband.

From vandalism and Karni Sena’s protests to Supreme Court ruling, a string of controversies has plagued her husband’s latest movie ‘Padmaavat’ which is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Shahid Kapoor plays Rajput warrior Maharawal Ratan Singh and has been paired with Deepika Padukone, who essays the role of Rani Padmavati.

‘Padmaavat’, has now become one of the most controversial and talked about movies of Bollywood, which faced many hardships including changing its name from ‘Padmavati’ to ‘Padmavat’. A group of people from Karni Sena had opposed the movie and wanted a ban on it.

In March 2017, the sets of the movie in Kolhapur’s Masai plateau were vandalized at the night. The attacks were staged because fringe Rajput groups claimed that the film has a dream sequence where Rani Padmini and Alauddin Khilji will be seen being intimate. These claims were dismissed by the team of the movie.

While the road to the theatrical release of the movie has been a long and rocky one, people are now excited to watch this period drama.

The recent celebrity to join the bandwagon is Shahid Kapoor’s supportive wife Mira. Amidst all the tension surrounding the film, she hit out at fringe groups with a strong message through her latest Instagram post.
