Mindy Kaling, star of the popular sitcom “The Mindy Project” has taken to Twitter and expressed her frustration regarding the Kansas shooting “being ignored”.

Mindy Kaling. The Indian Express
Kaling, who is also of Indian by origin, in a series of tweets asked why the Kansas shooting is being ignored and being normalised?
The murder of Srivinas Kuchibhotla is incomprehensible. The anguish of his family. This must continue to shock us, it cannot be normalized.

He was murdered in a hate crime, by a man shouting “get out of my country”. Srinivas Kuchibhotla was 32 years old. Why is this ignored? pic.twitter.com/86CZylZQ8P

Kaling, a known comedian, usually leaves her followers in splits with her tweets.
But her latest tweets have left many contemplating about the death of Indian techie Srivinas Kuchibhotla, who was shot dead in Kansas just because he was not white.
Her question, “Why is this ignored?” also stresses on the state of the minds of many who after the Kansas shooting have been left wondering if any immigrant is safe in the USA.
This is how people responded to her tweets,
@mindykaling 😢 because brown lives clearly don’t matter as much as other lives. smh
