Every kid born in 1990s enjoyed the moments when ‘Millimeter’ from ‘3 Idiots‘ came on-screen. Apart from being an excellent take on the Indian educational system, the student life in this film was very relatable. The 2009 film was inspired by a novel ‘Five Point Someone’ and director Rajkumar Hirani did a good job.
The film stared Aamir Khan, Madhavan and Sharman Joshi in lead characters. However, despite such big names, ‘Millimeter’ aka Rahul Kumar, got a lot of attention because of his role.
The film also starred Kareena Kapoor Khan and Boman Irani in important roles. After Ranchhoddas Chchanchad and Chatur Silencer, a small, yet memorable role by child artist called ‘Millimeter’ was liked by all.
Despite so many popular characters, ‘Millimeter’ was one of the most entertaining ones. His character had undeniable comic timing and that made everyone inclined towards him.
Nine years has passed and Rahul Kumar is now all grown up and handsome as ever! No doubt, he became a household name after this role.
The child artist looks totally different now but hasn’t lost his charm!
Rahul Kumar was selected for the role by Rajkumar Hirani after the director spotted him in theatre performances (1998).
The 23-year-old actor played various roles in the widely-appreciated films like Omkara, The Blue Umbrella, Jeena Hai Toh Thok Daal, and short film, The Thief (2015).
Apart from acting, Rahul also featured in top brand endorsements like Britannia Biscuits, Idea cellular, and IPL – Indian Premier League.
Rahul then also featured in several TV shows like “Yum Hai Hum” on Sab TV, apart from others.
