When it comes to fashion, the Bollywood biggies seem to rule the center stage. From their red carpet appearances to airport fashion, social media seem to keep an eagle’s eye on every move of them. And Bollywood’s star kids are never far behind. In fact, nowadays, more attention is being given to the star kids than their more famous parent(s). But in this article, we shall acquaint you with another celebrity kid, who is not just known for her fashion sense but also for her business ventures involving underprivileged women of our country.
She is Ananya Birla, the daughter of Aditya Birla Group’s chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla. Thanks to her background, Ananya became involved in the business at a very young age. While she could have happily joined her father’s business, she chose otherwise and opened her own micro-finance company at the tender age of 17. Her business venture is known as “Svatantra Microfinance”, which works towards the emancipation of underprivileged women from the rural India.
Today, “Svatantra Microfinance” operates in four Indian states from more than seventy branches with as many as 600 people working under her. In fact, the company also received the Gold Award for being the best Indian start-up under Ananya’s leadership.
You would be surprised to know that this young lady, who had been educated in economics and management at the University of Oxford, is also the co-chairperson of ASSOCHAM and the co-founder of M-Power. In 2016, Ananya became the founder and CEO of CuroCarte, an inventory-based global luxury e-Commerce platform.
And let’s not even start talking about her fashion sense. Isn’t she just gorgeous?
