With Uttar Pradesh assembly elections scheduled for 2017, Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati has started working again. However, instead of searching for better policies or schemes, she is searching for something else.

As per TOI report, Mayawati has asked her cadres to ‘search for the cook’ who prepared the food for Amit Shah when he dined with Dalits.

Why? Because BSP chief believes that the cook was not a Dalit but someone from the upper caste.

Ram Kumar Kureel, the party zonal coordinator, said that directives have been received and they will soon find out who prepared food for Shah during his visit to the village.

Further, the party zonal coordinator claimed that out pf 250 people who came with Shah, only had lunch. “The rest did not eat with Dalits,” he said.

He added that the place where lunch was served is dominated by members of Bind community and not Dalits. “Shah brought a few Dalits along, sat with them and had lunch just to send out a political message,” said Kureel.
