Born in British India in 1912, Saadat Hasan Manto was an exceptional writer. Not once to ever mince his words, Saadat understood the meaning and importance of telling the truth. He dared to write about those realities of life that others didn’t even dare to talk about.  Even though he died at a young age of 42, he managed to leave a legacy of Urdu works behind. This includes 22 short story collections, 5 radio play series, 3 essays collections, 2 personal sketches and a novel.

The writer also chronicled the chaos that ensued post the Indo-Pak partition with diligence. A man of such valor and strength is definitely noteworthy.
