Giving his final speech in the Rajya Sabha on March 31, Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar sarcastically thanked Congress leader Digvijaya Singh for failing to install a Congress government in Goa.
As he bid farewell to members of the House he gave special thanks to Congress leader Digvijaya Singh for failing to install a Congress government in Goa despite winning majority number of seats in the assembly elections.

Parrikar, who resigned as India’s Defence Minister recently has returned to his home in Goa and has once again taken up the role of CM.
He visited the Rajya Sabha during Zero Hour on 31 March and gave his farewell speech.
“I express my thanks to the Chairman, Deputy Chairman and members of this house for their support during my tenure as the Raksha Mantri (Defence Minister) and invite them to Goa whenever they want to come. My special thanks to honourable member Digvijaya Singh, who happened to be in Goa but did nothing so that I could form the government.”
The comment though didn’t go down well with many Congress lawmakers and they rushed to the Rajya Sabha Chairman’s podium to protest.
