Bollywood has long been a flagbearer of masala films, that preach the idiotic message i.e to impress a girl, you need to be an absolute kameena. The hero of the film does all the gross things, and slowly, the girl falls for the guy. Isn’t it stupid?
Eve-teasing is the winning formula for producers to earn money, but they don’t realize that they are adulterating the society, especially men, who follow these filthy acts to make girls fall for them.
In today’s time, some filmmakers are selling vulgarity in the name of “entertainment”. The truth is, cinema is a vast medium, and whatever they are depicting, positive or negative, will influence people. And this issue was rightly highlighted by Union Minister, Maneka Gandhi, at the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao program in Goa.
She pointed out the bitter reality,
If you look at the films…in last 50 years, the only way to communicate messages…I am talking about the feature films in every language in India. The romance almost always starts with eve-teasing.
