In one of his speech during the Ayodhya disputes, BJP leader L. K. Advani quoted the infamous slogan ‘Mandir wahi banayenge’. The self-explanatory slogan meaning ‘We’ll construct the temple at that exact spot’ became quite popular among the masses and was typically used during the elections rallies in order to win over the Hindu vote bank. While the slogan was raised with respect to the Ayodhya Babri Masjid dispute between the Hindus and Muslims, it gave the ruling government a political identity during the 1990s.
Surprisingly, Indian movie lovers will be pleased to know that a movie has been made by the title ‘Mandir Wahi Banayenge’ by popular producers Chandan Bhansali and Mahesh Upadhyay.
Directed by Praveen Kumar Guduri, Bhojpuri film ‘Mandir Wahi Banayenge’ will star Pradeep R Pandey ‘Chintu’, Nishi Jha and Shushil Singh in the lead roles. Well, according to sources, the film has been shot in some of the real locations at Ayodhya and the story of the film revolves around the ongoing dispute around the Ayodhya Ram Temple.
However, after taking a look at its trailer, the film appears to be yet another masala action-romance Bhojpuri entertainer. The trailer of ‘Mandir Wahi Banayenge’ is filled with action sequences, powerful dialogues, and foot-tapping dance numbers.
