This Man From Uttar Pradesh Gives Himself Electric Shocks Every Day To Satiate His Hunger

Published on 26 August, 2017 at 9:00 am By

So far, you might have heard human beings befriending other humans, animals, plants, nature, food, or even works of art for that matter. But there is one person whose strange friendship can be certainly called as bizarre.

Hailing from Muzzafarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, Naresh Kumar has befriended electricity and has, therefore, come to be known locally as “POWERMAN”. While electric shocks are terrifying for most people, they are a way of satiating hunger for him. Instead of eating food, this man gives regular electric shocks to his body to overcome the need for food.

According to Naresh, these electric shocks provide energy to his body and he no longer feels the need to eat anything. He says that he can satiate his hunger by touching bare electric wires for half an hour when there is no food in the house.

42-year old Naresh Kumar got to know of his strange power when he did perfectly well even after accidentally touching a high voltage electric wire. Most people would have got scared of electricity and thanked their luck or God for their survival but this man did something completely out of the ordinary. He decided to dig into his “superpower” by touching even more live wires and discovered that electricity could serve as his alternative to food. He started experimenting with his ability by playing with different electrical appliances live with high current.

Speaking to Cover Asia Press, Naresh Kumar said,

Whenever I feel hungry and there’s no food in the house, I hold naked wires and within half-an-hour I am satisfied. I can touch any electrical appliance like a television, washing machine, fridge, and an inverter with my bare hands and it doesn’t affect me. In fact, it helps my energy levels. I think about 80 per cent of my body is composed of electricity now. I know I am unique. Not everyone can do this. My wife is not impressed but surely people will be impressed by this.

Naresh Kumar’s unique talents incessantly shock his wife Sharmishtha who is surprised that electricity has not caused any harm to her husband yet. There are no electric switches in their house and because Naresh Kumar is obsessed with touching naked wires, they are left like that.
