The recently concluded Kolkata Film Festival saw the presence of numerous great actors and dignitaries from both Bollywood and the Bengal film industry. The inaugural program was literally a star-studded affair with Amitabh Bachchan, Kajol and Kamal Hasaan being special guests along with the Bengal brand ambassador Shah Rukh Khan. Although Shah Rukh Khan was present was relegated to few hours only but it was deemed as extra special to not only the people of Bengal but also to the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
That Shah Rukh Khan reserves a special place in the heart of Calcuttans was proved once again when Mamata Banerjee made it a point to drop him at the airport personally. It was indeed a special affair as Mamata Banerjee regards Shah Rukh as her own brother after she tied rakhi to him around three years back.
After he got down of the car, the Bollywood superstar also made it a point to touch the feet of the chief minister as a benign gesture. The video later showcases the chief minister instructing the security guards to protect the actor properly. Watch the video here:
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan have recently come under the income tax radar, after a complaint was filed against them for allegedly using forged papers in acquiring a large size of plot for the construction of super-luxury bungalow in Alibaug. It was the same bungalow where Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday party was recently held.
