In a spectacular show of unity against the demonetisation move, a united opposition launched an all-out attack against the Modi government.
Launching a multi-pronged protest agenda, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee, held a demonstration outside Reserve Bank of India in Delhi, wanting to know the availability of currency.
They gave the RBI governor a list of questions related to the move.
How much currency needed? How much printed? What is capacity? How many more days will it take? Myself n Mamtadi at RBI to get this info

According to Banerjee, they came to RBI to know whether the Central bank has enough currency or not.
Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress (TMC) said officials of RBI failed to come up with satisfying answer when asked about availability of currency for distribution.
“They gave us last year’s report on the availability of notes. Ultimately the two leaders had to go without getting any satisfying response,” she said.
Earlier, while holding a protest rally in Delhi Azadpur Mandi, Banerjee and Kejriwal asked the government to scrap the demonetisation decision in three days or face a revolt.
They alleged a conspiracy behind Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to spike 500 and 1,000 rupee notes that has led to a cash chaos across the country.
Calling the after-effects of the demonetisation a “crisis”, Kejriwal said people didn’t have cash even to buy meet basic needs.
