Nobel Peace laureate Malala Yousafzai was trolled on social media for wearing western outfits. Yousafzai, who is now attending Oxford University in the U.K., was trolled for her choice of clothes after photographs of her wearing jeans and trousers became viral on the social media. The photographs were published on the Facebook page of a Pakistani daily and showed Malala in a jeans with ankle length boots and a bomber jacket. Malala has always been spotted wearing a scarf and a salwar-kameez. It still remains unverified if the girl in the photograph is indeed Malala.
The same picture was also shared by Pakistani journalist and writer Mehr Tarar on Twitter:

The picture obviously enraged some of the people in Malala’s land.
Someone called her Mia Khalifa look alike.
Being tagged as a traitor.
Not a good example.
She is a long-term investment.
Suggestion for parda.
Questioning her on the scarf.
A drama queen.
Another one called her shameless.
Calling her father a pimp.
Although, she was strongly criticized on Facebook, there were many who came to her rescue. She was called an empowered girl who is also proud of being a Muslim.
Malala was shot in the head by a Talibani gunman in her hometown when she spoke for women’s right to education. In 2016, she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for her work for the women. She is now a British national and is studying psychology at Oxford University. These comments clearly show the sick mentality of few people in her country. Malala is an inspiration to hundreds of Muslim women in Pakistan and in Afghanistan and has encouraged many more to achieve their dreams.
