It looks like Pakistani cricketer and their team captain Shahid Afridi is the hot favorite of many Indian actresses. A few days ago, Indian model and TV actress Arshi Khan had admitted that she respects Shahid Afridi. The actress also apologized for making a controversial tweet about his relationship with Afridi back in 2015. Now, recently, popular television and Bollywood actress Mahika Sharma grabbed a lot of attention from netizens after she confessed her crush on Shahid Afridi.
Mahika had said that she has been infatuated with Afridi since her teenage days. Going a few steps ahead, the actress also made a controversial statement about the Pakistani cricketer while talking about her crush on Afridi.
For the uninitiated, Mahika Sharma is a popular Indian television and film actress. She has appeared on television shows like ‘FIR’, ‘Tu Mere Agal Bagal Hai,’ ‘Ramayana’ and also in Bollywood film ‘Mr. Joe B Carvalho’.
In an interview to IB Times, the actress had recently said that when she was 13 years old, she used to keep kissing Shahid Afridi’s pictures. She went on to say:
“When I started exploring about sex, I started fantasizing about him and kept myself satisfied.”
Mahika Sharma’s madness for Afridi hasn’t ended even after she was grown up. The actress says that she would wait for the day when the cricketer would acknowledge her and greet her.
Mahika Sharma also says that this is not a publicity stunt but her genuine feelings for Afridi. However, it looks like her craze for the Pakistani cricketer has invited problems for her. Talking about the harassment she has to face on social media because of her statements about Afridi, in an interview with SpotboyE, the actress said:
“Yes, people are harassing me sexually. They are asking me to tell my rate. Worse still, they are sharing pictures of their private parts with me. I really don’t know how to deal with them.”
At the same time, the actress also said that she does not pay any attention to trolls. When asked about her bold statement of her desire to have sex with Shahid Afridi, the actress said:
“Sex is no big deal these days. If boys can openly talk about their crushes and fantasies, why do we girls need to have a lakshman rekha? I don’t believe in gender discrimination. Why can’t I be open about my desires?”
