Mahabharata, the mythological text is quite popular in Indian culture. It holds a great deal of importance for many, and is a source of inspiration to many others, like this artist, who has recently launched a series of sketches inspired from the text. Through these sketches, the artist has given Mahabharata characters a Bollywood makeover. Not only Mahabharata, the artist has also done the same for many Ramayana characters.

Yes, the artist has put on paper, how our very own Bollywood celebs would look like if they were characters of either of these texts. And we must say, the sketches are damn impressive.

This is what actress Deepika Padukone would look like if she were Draupadi:

In fact, there are rumors of actor Aamir Khan working on an adaptation of Mahabharata. Even though the rumors have been going around for many months, no one has made concrete announcements.

However, according to sources, Aamir wants to play one of the two Mahabharata characters – Karna or Lord Krishna. And it seems like the artist has already imagined what that would be like.

Have a look at the sketch below:

Other Bollywood celebs whom the artist sketched as Ramayana and Mahabharata characters are as follows:

John Abraham as Ashwatthama

Actor Farhan Akhtar as Arjun

Many Bollywood fans believe that actor Hrithik Roshan looks like a Greek god. But the artist had other plans, for the sketches below showcase Hrithik as Karna.

As is widely known, Mahabharata would not have happened if not for Shakuni. And the Bollywood celeb the artist feels best fits this character is Badman Gulshan Grover.

The artist also included Indian beauty Aishwarya Rai as Ganga and actor Kamal Hassan as Shantanu

Isn’t this an interesting way to visualize what Bollywood versions of Mahabharata characters would look like? We sure do think so. What is your take on the sketches?
