Recently as part of a tour, Jadugar Anand has been in Indore since May 4 while performing more than three magic shows a day.
But unfortunately, everything is not-so-good with the magician as a petition has been filed against Jadugar Anand by an NGO working for animal welfare.
It was revealed recently that Jadugar Anand was using an elephant in his magic tricks and this news was unacceptable for the NGO People for Animals. In order to clarify the news, the members of the NGO went to see the show in which Jadugar Anand disappeared the elephant in one of his tricks.
Later the NGO members found out that there were bruises all over the skin of the elephant and he was very badly hurt. As soon as they realized that elephant was hurt, NGO member called the people from the Forest Department. The female elephant’s name was revealed to be ‘Rajni’. In order to lend help for her, the NGO member went to the court to file a petition against Jadugar Anand.
According to the petitioner Priyanshu Jain, the elephant being used by the magician comes in the Type 1 category of Animal Welfare Board and it is a case of ‘animal abuse’ to use the elephant as a prop in magic tricks. Moreover, in such terrible condition the elephant should be released to the forests.
According to reports, Jadugar Anand has to appear in front of the court on May 24 for the hearing of the case.
