Yeh bik gayi hai gormint.
This was the infamous anthem of the internet in 2016. It started off when a Pakistani reporter interviewed a local woman, and she brutally thrashed the Pakistan Government with her abusive rant.
Once again, let’s recall those honest “lethal” words:
After the rant, she became the most popular aunty on the internet. It was her candidness that connected with everyone as Pakistan is indeed a corrupt nation where people are fighting was very basic necessities.
Memes, songs, remixes and even T-shirts were made on her, and the comedy group, AIB, deserves a special mention here.

But while we were laughing off at her memes, she was facing downright humiliation from all corners.
In an interview with Samaa TV, the son of the ‘Gormint Aunty’ told that they have lost all respect in the society,
Our extended family has socially boycotted us. Everyone makes fun of my mother. We have stopped attending family events because people, instead of enjoying the family functions, shift their focus on my mother. We have had many altercations with our relatives and neighbors over the issue. As a result, no one comes to our house anymore.
He also accepted that it was her extreme anger that triggered this incidence,
My mother is very short-tempered. She hurls abuses whenever her blood pressure is high and she doesn’t even realize what she is saying. She uttered whatever came in her mind when the TV vaalay came in our area that day because she was extremely angry and her blood pressure was also high. Where can we go now? Society doesn’t let us breathe in peace. Even my father and brother become the target of jokes whenever they go out. My mother has become even more irritable after the incident.
