Lasith Malinga Turns Off-spinner And Surprises Everyone With His Never-before Style

Sri Lankan cricketer and pacer Lasith Malinga never failed to excite cricket lovers, especially his fans, if not with wickets, with his style of bowling and lethal pace. He was out of the limelight in the international cricket for a while and was left out of the recent series against Pakistan as well. But it seems like there is nothing to stop the cricketer from getting the attention of the people. He still managed to make the headlines.

 

After being snubbed from a full series against Pakistan, Malinga opted to play in the domestic league.

The Sri Lankan pacer was playing for Teejay Lanka in the domestic league and was leading the team. As always, he was known for his pace and toe-crushing yorkers, but the cricketer has stunned everyone this time with never-before style of bowling. He decided to bowl off-spin in the final encounter of MCA ‘A’ division knockout tournament against LB Finance. And to everyone’s surprise, he went on to claim three wickets.

Malinga’s wickets helped his team restrict LB Finance to 125/7 in 25 overs and Teejay Lanka went on to win the match by 82 runs through the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method.

Earlier in the match, Teejay Lanka had scored 266 runs. LB Finance could only score 125 runs for the loss of seven wickets, before the match was stopped due to bad light.
