PM Narender Modi on December 16 addressed BJP members at a parliament meet and spoke denomination, and how former PM Indira Gandhi had failed to implement it back 1971 after the Wanchoo Committee recommended it.

He had gone on to add that what though it was required in 1971, it was not implemented and was only done in 2016.

While PM Modi’s speech got a lot of applause from the BJP audience, it gave RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav a laugh and led him to “demonstrate” his English and history skills on Twitter.

Where Lalu he was quick to point out that the ‘Janta Party’ had indeed demonetized Rs. 1000, Rs. 5000 and Rs. 10,000 notes back in 1978, he was too quick to take a jibe at PM Modi by asking him to spend ‘more time in the Parliament library.

You see, while he was right in regards to demonetization being done in 1978, he didn’t pay attention to the fact that PM Modi was not actually talking about demonetization but its ‘recommendation’ by the Wanchoo Committee, which indeed took place in 1971.

Further, in his hurry, Lalu seem to have made the matter worse for himself, by not only pointing a mistake which was not there but making a further fool of himself by highlighting it by “pinning” it on his Twitter wall.

Fortunately for him, Tweeple too seem to have missed his ‘historic’ mistake and only thrash him for his ‘infamous’ Chara Ghotala.
