National Film Award winner Anurag Kashyap is not only a passionate director, but a cutting-edge filmmaker too. He is known to direct new scripts and doesn’t fret from shooting nudity at all. As of one of the four directors of ‘Lust Stories‘, he’s proved himself as a successful director who is here to stay. Now, he’s shot Kubra Sait’s nude scene in ‘Sacred Games’.
Talking of ‘nude scenes’, the ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ director first created a storm with Radhika Apte‘s full frontal nude scene in ‘Madly’. This particular scene in the 20-minute film (2016) went viral due to ‘Ghoul’ actress Apte’s bold scene.
In this controversial scene, the ‘Pad Man‘ actress crossed all her limits, when she lifts her dress to show her full front to the actor.
The Mukkabaaz director’s next short film, Lust Stories, showed a sexual relationship between Kalindi (Apte) and Akash Thosar (Sairat fame). It was co-written by Apte herself and Anurag.
His current project ‘Sacred Games’ has remarkable performances by Saif Ali Khan, Radhika and Nawazuddin. But it’s Kubra Sait’s nude scene which is getting all the attention.
Kubra Sait is a popular entertainment figure. From anchoring events to acting in TV commercials, she has done it all. She also won India’s Best Female Emcee Award.
In ‘Sacred Games‘, her personality and character are totally unconventional, just like her Instagram feeds. She posted this image of Anurag on the sets of the web series:
She plays a transgender in the show, whose performance is so impressive, that it has left everyone spellbound.
Since ‘Sacred Games‘ released on July 6, she’s been receiving praise for her boldness and chemistry with fellow co-star Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
When Times Now enquired about shooting this scene, she disclosed some intimate details of how Anurag Kashyap shoots them to perfection.
In the exclusive interview, she said, “After I went to the audition, they told me there’s frontal nudity scene and when you see the show, you can see how beautiful it is. You can never go wrong with it.”
Kubra’s bold scene is about her finding her sexual identity. She added: “I would fall on the floor crying about seven times. When we finished the scene, he hugged me and said thank you for giving me this scene.”
‘Sacred Games’ is Netflix‘s Indian original which is set in Mumbai of the 1980s and ’90s, involving gang wars and police. Here’s the official trailer, in case you missed it:
