Good News for women and feminism!
India’s Women and Child Development Ministry warned that it will take strict action against those trolling and posting abusive remarks against women online.
Recently, ‘Ambarsariya’ singer Sona Mohapatra had upset Salman Khan fans by speaking against his infamous rape comment and got trolled miserably in a disrespectful way.
Seeing such instances forced the Union Minister Maneka Gandhi to take up the matter with Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and Ministry of Information Technology and come up with a mechanism to tackle and punish such miscreants.
To monitor instances of women being trolled, Maneka Gandhi has designed a separate department and also, asked the victims to mail their issues:
Are you a woman who is trolled or abused? Inform me at [email protected]
