The people of India do not see the police with the same veneration as they do the armed forces. You know the reasons.
The police in Koderma, Jharkhand, have just given the people one more.
According to reports, a murder convict was taken to a Ranchi hospital for treatment by four cops, who then took him with them to a red light area in Asansol.
Asansol is in neighbouring West Bengal.
While the cops were having the time of their lives…
…the local police happened to conduct a raid.
In the ensuing confusion, the convict managed to give his captors the slip. The cops were nabbed and their weapons confiscated.
The funnier part is that the convict, Baiju Yadav, who had every opportunity to escape, returned to Koderma jail all alone.
He then narrated the incident to the stunned jail officials.
Koderma’s Superintendent of Police Y.S. Ramesh suspended all four cops after a preliminary investigation corroborated the convict’s story.
