Few days back, Twittera accounts of celebs like Anupam Kher and Abhishek Bachchan were hacked. A string of tweets in Turkish and English were shared from the 42-year-old actor’s verified Twitter account, which also featured the emoji of the Turkish flag. The miscreants, pro-Pakistan Turkey-based cyber group Ayyildiz Tim, also changed the name of his handle from ‘JuniorBachchan’ to ‘JuniorBachchana’. Twitter, in its reply, said they were working on the issue and that they would be in direct correspondence with the affected account holders.

Following this controversy, it is now the turn of Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju, whose account was also hacked.

While Tweeting about this hack, he called it a despicable and mischievous act. He also termed it an attempt to tarnish someone’s image.

Twitterati too came out in strength and posted these messages:

Some squarely blamed it on Congress IT cell.
