The followers of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, who has now been proved to be a fake, filed a complaint against Kiku Sharda for mimicking their guru. The comedian was sent to a 14-day-long judicial custody.
He even had to send a public apology that he posted on Twitter calling himself a god fearing man.
Doston the act on TV was not to hurt anyone’s feelings. My apologies to @Gurmeetramrahim ji and his followers. Let’s spread happiness. 🙏

Kiku even apologized while interacting with the media. He said,
I respect religion and rituals. I respect all Gurus. I’m a god fearing man. It was just an act which was done with the intention to make people laugh. Channel also edits what they consider cannot be aired.
Kiku Sharda’s belief in god didn’t go in vain. It has now been proven that karma is a bitch. Ram Rahim Singh, who has committed so many crimes, and once sent Kiku Sharda to jail, has finally been sentenced to 20 years in jail.
Everyone was eagerly waiting to hear what Kiku Sharda has to say about this fake baba’s conviction. So, the comedian has FINALLY posted a sarcastic comment referring to the sentence that has been given to Gurmeet Ram Rahim.
