Laddan Mian, who was prime accused in the killing of Bihar journalist Rajdev Ranjan, surrendered before a local court.
Mian is said to be a close aide of RJD leader and four-time MP Mohammad Shahabuddin, who is a prison term for multiple murders and abductions.

Mian was released from the Siwan jail just two weeks prior to the murder. He hired youngsters with no criminal background to carry out the killing.

Police had earlier arrested five persons in regard to the murder of Ranjan. They have confessed that hat they had killed Ranjan at the behest of Laddan Mian who had promised them to settle a land dispute and Rs. 15,000.
