Kerala is currently undergoing one of the most disastrous floods in its history. The floods situation in the state started cropping up in mid-July 2018, and the situation is only getting worse since. As per the recent reports, the death toll for the flood has surpassed 350 people and is still counting. The floods have also left numerous families displaced and losing everything they had.

In situations like these, we often see people with prominent stature making a difference by coming out and offering help to those in need. Even in the recent unfortunate rape cases, we saw many Bollywood celebs take a stand.

But this time, there seems to be a huge disparity in the support for the Southern community. Not many Bollywood celebs have come forward in support of the flood victims.

The ‘Karwaan‘ actor  Dulquer Salmaan tweeted about Kerala floods affected areas. Check the tweet out below:

As evident, the actor shared the information of the Chief Ministers Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF). He sought to encourage all citizens to extend support for the Kerala floods victims.

Another celeb who spoke out about the floods seeking support is ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha‘ actress Bhumi Pednekar.

The actress also took to her twitter account and shared information about Amazon India’s initiatives. See the tweet below:

Apparently, Amazon India has started three different initiatives to extend support to Kerala floods victims. Even actress Sonali Bendre tweeted about the floods and encouraged fans to support the CMDRF.

See the tweet below:

Other celebs who are seeking support for the CMDRF includes Abhishek Bachchan and Anushka Sharma. Our prayers are with the flood victims, and we hope that support from all corners of the nation will help them overcome the difficult times.
