A Sub-Inspector was among six J&K police personnel who attained martyrdom in the Friday night terror attack in Achabal town in Jammu & Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Reports said that the cops were ambushed by the terrorists who resorted to indiscriminate firing.
Sub-Inspector Feroz Dar was a resident of Pulwama. After terrorists killed him, they reportedly disfigured his face.

Injured policemen were rushed to the nearby hospital for treatment. All the policemen were on a routine round in their jeep.
The terrorist act was carried out by Pakistan’s Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT).

Reports say that the attack may have been a result of security forces killing LeT commander Junaid Matoo and two other terrorists earlier in the day in Arwani village in south Kashmir’s Kilgam district.
Besides Ahmed, other deceased cops include constables Sharik Ahmad and Tanveer Ahmad from Budgam, Sheraz Ahmad from Achabal, and Asif Ahmad and Sabzar Ahmed from Anantnag.

On Tuesday, terrorists carried out six attacks in just four hours across Kashmir.
