Karuna Shukla, niece of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, has extended her support for Jawaharlal Nehru Students Union president Kanhaiya Kumar and fiercely criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Karuna, who left BJP to join Congress in 2014, was addressing “Loktantra Bachao Andolan” when she said that that Kanhaiya had said nothing wrong and that even she wanted freedom from “saffron” and “federalism”.
She added that this was also the first time she saw a man promote the fact that he was poor, that his mother washed utensils, and that he sold tea to become Prime Minister only to move on to wear suites that cost Rs.10 lakh, go on regular foreign trips and have businessmen like Adani and Ambani in his pockets.
She continued her virulent attack by accusing Modi of playing games and politics by changing government in Arunachal Pradesh, and giving rise to issues in Uttarakhand for his own personal gain and using money (gained by Adani and Ambani) to buy Congress MLA’s in Antagarh, Chhattisgarh.
She finished her speech by thanking Uttrakhand High Court for questing the implementation of President’s Rule in Uttarakhand and getting an inquiry started in this matter.
