After much controversy and delay, Bollywood director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Padmaavat was finally released on January 24 amid protests by Karni Sena in various parts of the country.
Every since the shoot of the movie started, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and the cast and crew of Padmavat, have faced immense protests and anger from fringe groups and political leaders.
Despite Supreme Court’s order of staying the ban of Padmavat in five states, the members of Karni Senna continued with their protests.
It now seems that they are taking this anger to all new level as news reports suggest that they are now in the process of making a film which is based on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s mother – Leela Bhansali.
What’s more, reports also say that they plan to call this movie ‘Leela Ki Leela’ and that it would be directed by Karni Sena activist Arvind Vyas.
This movie will be shot in Rajasthan and Mumbai and the society themselves will bear the cost of production of the film.
In an interview following the announcement of this movie, Vyas told the press that this movie will teach Bhansali what it means to disrespect women.
