Sunny Leone is again in the headlines and this time not for any controversy but the release of her latest web series ‘Karenjit Kaur – The Untold Story of Sunny Leone’! Much is being highlighted in media about the series that recently premiered on ZEE5. The pilot episode of the show is almost 23 minutes in duration and fails to create a lasting impact.
However, the show had certain moments as well. The charming young Karenjit is played by Rysa Saujani who fits in her role very well. Sunny happens to be the daughter of a conservative Sikh family which is settled in Canada. The young Sunny Leone (Rysa) plays her role with complete sincerity and didn’t fail to make us believe that young Sunny must have been like her.
She starts working as a child and earn pennies by selling lemonades, painting, and helping people with their animals. As a child, Sunny Leone (Karenjit Kaur) maintains her dignity and works hard for herself.
The weakest part of the show is the role played by Karanvir Lamba. He is the one who is portraying Sunny’s brother. He is just too melodramatic if one has to be true! In his overconfidence, Lamba overdo almost all scenes.
If we talk about Sunny’s appearance in the pilot of the show, she hardly has any screen time. And in all the scenes she appears, she acts with perceptible caution.
As far the pilot episode is concerned, we are left unimpressed. However, we hope the future episodes will be successful in creating a lasting impression.
