Seeing statues of Bollywood celebrities in the world-famous Madame Tussauds wax museum is not a new thing. From Amitabh Bachchan to Shahrukh Khan, the famous B-town celebrities have claimed their place in this prestigious museum. Soon, Karan Johar will be joining the other biggies but there’s something special about it!
Johar will be the first Indian filmmaker to have his statue installed, creating a history. The pictures of the preparation were recently released by Dharma Productions and movie critique Taran Adarsh shared them on social media. Here are the tweets:

However, Twitterati is not very much liking the fact that the film-maker will share space with leading Bollywood stars. From brutal jokes on his sexual preference to his attachment to nepotism, each and every aspect was touched. Many also pointed that his films are nothing special and he is not worthy of this honor. Here are some of the tweets:
This is too much.apart from promoting starsons, what is his contribution to cinema?#karanjohar #nepotism

Yes…And for promoting shitty nepotism too.. Although he makes not so bad films but statue for what? Having statues in madame tussauds became like having Bharat Ratna in india.😀 @karanjohar @aliaa08

The statue will take about six months for the completion. When done, it will be unveiled officially in a multi-city tour across Asia, according to media reports. It will give Karan’s fans a chance to see his statue before it’s permanently placed in the museum for display. It’s also rumored that he will be a part of this promotional tour.
