Love is love! How easy it is to say but how hard it is to find. As the day of love passed by, many realized the vacuum created in their heart due to the absence of a special kind of love. It is true that we are surrounded by people who love us but often finding the ‘one’ becomes a daunting task. Wondering why I am talking about it after the celebrations for V-Day already concluded? Well, a tweet by Karan Johar actually made me think about love. Especially, love and LGBTQ+ community!
There is no debating the fact that KJo is the favorite troll target of netizens. Naturally, his recent post too attracted lots of negative comments from the netizens. Before telling you about the same, here is his tweet:
I have been looking for love for 46 years! Now it’s payback time for LOVE! It has to find me!!! #ApnaTimeAayega #HappyValentinesDay

Here is how the netizens made fun of such a sensitive matter:
Good luck, it’s gonna take forever.

If u are unable to find love in 46 years. It means u r tying to fight against nature.

Harsh controversies and gossips created speculations that Karan Johar is a closeted gay. In the hindsight, I also believe the same. However, his coming out is an entirely personal affair and we should respect that fact. At the same time, we do wish he tastes the sweetness of love.
Finding love in the LGBTQ+ community is a very painful journey. Yes, the decriminalization of Section 377 by the Supreme Court is a reality. However, the fact that it’s a long way before people accept the members of the LGBTQ+ community is another sad reality too.
Many might argue that the scenario of love and dating for the LGBTQ+ community isn’t as bleak as painted. True, there are dating apps and sites that claim to help the queer community. Sadly, in many instances, it ends up being a trap to rob innocent people.
Again, love is hard to find but it’s harder for those who identify with LGBTQ+ community. While we can wish the situation will change, to play our part we can always aware people about accepting the LGBTQ+ community. Coming back to KJo, what do you think about the tweet posted by Karan Johar?
