Whenever one thinks of stand-up comedians, who amassed a large following with their acts, the names of Sunil Grover and Kapil Sharma top the list. They worked together on ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ and later ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ and gave us a fresh lease of life. However, this great camaraderie came to a saddening halt right in its peak, when an ugly spat separated these two comic gods.

The sad incident occurred earlier this year, when the two legendary comedians were caught in an ugly verbal and physical spat, with Sharma going to the extent of hurling a shoe at Sunil on a flight. This incident literally tore them apart.

But it seems that their fans won’t have to wait for long to see them together. According to Mid-day, Kapil Sharma is currently on talking terms with his friend Sunil Grover and they both might be seen together soon.

Kapil Sharma was quoted saying:

He (Sunil) is currently in Canada. As soon as he returns, we will meet up and discuss the possibility of a new show. Hopefully, we should be back together.

Sharma also hinted that his crew members, including Chandan Prabhakar, Ali Asgar and Sugandha Mishra, who had left his show in solidarity with Sunil Grover, had returned to work together once again. It has to be remembered that although Kapil Sharma is regarded as a legendary comedian, his show ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ went down on TRP after Sunil Grover and others left the program.

However, this is not the first time that Sunil Grover had left Kapil Sharma’s show. Back in 2014, Sunil had also quit ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ and started his own stand-alone series ‘Mad In India’. Speaking to Mid-day, Sharma further said:

This time too, I was sad that our issue had become so big that it had started affecting our friendship. I tried explaining to him that everyone makes mistakes and I too had committed one. But he wouldn’t have any of it.

Reportedly, time is seemingly being hard on Kapil Sharma, who recently spent time at a rehab recovering from alcoholism. Even Sony Entertainment Ltd. stopped airing fresh shows of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, after Sharma went on a break earlier this year.

Although Sharma has promised to be back with Sunil and his old team to prime time television, the exact date of the comeback is yet to be decided.
