Inspired By ‘Sanju’, This Director Is Now Making A Biopic On Kapil Sharma

Rajkumar Hirani directed ‘Sanju’ biopic has set multiple box office records. The film has already crossed the Rs 200 crore mark and now nearing the 300 crore bracket. Also, Ranbir Kapoor;s film is on a rampage after ‘Sanju’ became the fifth biggest Bollywood opening film, after ‘Dangal’, ‘Sultan’, ‘Baahubali’ and ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’.

Rajkumar sacrificed the next Munna Bhai film for his Sanjay Dutt biopic and his sacrifice paid him off well. Despite a 12 days running, the film continues its streak of packed houses. But, not before noting Ranbir’s transformation for this super-hit:

The real reason behind Sanju’s galloping success is its Sanjay’s controversial life. From drug addictions, heartbreaks, failed career and depression, he faced it all.

Just like Sanju, another Indian celebrity who has faced a lot of flax after his success ratio, is none other than stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma. Don’t fret, this snapchat is Kapil Sharma only!

The 37-year-old had his share of controversies, professionally and personally. Specially this year, he drew bad reputation in media when he hurled abuses. This song in ‘Sanju‘ was targeted at them, it seems:

But before his career and life took the downfall, Kapil was a healthy and popular figure, just like Sanjay. It wasn’t before his alcoholic addictions took over.

In fact, he was fit as a fiddle just a few months ago, posting regular exercises on his Instagram and surprised many with his transformation.

But now, the famous comedian looks anything but happy. He looks battered, bloated and lost (his pet looks better). We can recall that the same with Sanjay Dutt when he leaped into addictions.

Just like ‘Baba’, where his calls were recorded, this is proof of Kapil Sharma’s abusive rant with Vickey, a website editor. Kapil had threatened to extort his daughter!

Last, but not the least, Sanjay Dutt went in depression and cancelled many films. Kapil Sharma too, suspended his show ‘Family Time with Kapil’ due to the same.

Following all these leads, director Vinod Tiwari thought like Kapil Sharma will be an interesting subject for a biopic. This debutante director said, “After ‘Sanju’, I am inspired to make a biopic on Kapil Sharma. In 2010, we wanted to make a film with Kapilji but producers Surendra Puri and Nostrum couldn’t do it then.”

Meanwhile, the director’s first choice will be Comedy Circus host Krushna Abhishek. According to him, “He will be perfect as they are known for their comic timing and he will do justice to character.”

Indian television’s two of the biggest facesin one biopic? That’s something fans can’t wait to watch!
