A group of ‘kanwariyas’ vandalized a car and broke its windshield and windows on August 7, in south Moti Bagh area of Delhi. It is been said that the car driver, who was a female, accidentally touched a ‘kanwariya’ with the car, and the water that the said ‘kanwariya’ was carrying from Haridwar got spilt on the road.
In retaliation for the same, ‘kanwariyas’ smashed the car with iron rods, hockey, and sticks. Both the passengers, a man and woman managed to escape and didn’t sustain any injuries.
West Delhi’s Deputy Commissioner of Police told the media that no arrest has been made yet, as the occupants of the car refused to file an FIR against the perturbed group.
The videos of the incident are going viral on social media. In the video, it can be seen how the ‘kanwariyas’ are smashing the car with rods and sticks. Take a look at the video:
Vandalism in the name of religion is not a new thing. There many infamous incidents of vandalism that have created headlines, but police have not made any major arrests in any of these incidents. This time too, no action was taken against these saffron goons as no FIR was made by the victims. After smashing the car and breaking the glasses, the annoyed ‘kanwariyas’ flipped the car on the road. Take a look at another video of the incident:
Every time, government assures that the suitable action will be taken against the culprits, but they do nothing. Be it the case of vandalism or mob lynching, police and authorities just stand there and watch.
This time too, there were a few policeman standing but they chose to be mere spectators. Seems like no action will be taken this time too, as these saffron goons are a part of Hindu vote bank, that government loves to cash!
And not just vandalism, these ‘kanwariyas’ openly mock the traffic rules by using loudspeakers, cause a traffic jam every now and them, and even eve-tease women in the name of their ‘holy-yatra’. For how long will we allow these goons to do whatever they want? It’s time to raise our voice strongly and government too should take some sort of action against these goons.
Have you ever faced any troubles over this? Or have you been eve-teased by these so-called bhakts in the name of religion? Tell us in comments.
