It was back in 2014 when Narendra Modi came to power and promised us achhe din. Well, it is hard to say that ki acche din aa gaye, but Indians have felt a wave of change under a leader like Modi, who is unlike any other. Modi instantly connected with people’s hearts with his mann ki baatein and his yoga revolution. But did he actually bring India on the path of development and sustainable growth? For this answer, every Indian has a different opinion.

But we cannot doubt that Modi’s journey from a chaiwala to a prime minister is extraordinary and inspiring.  A short film, ‘Chalo Jeete Hain‘, reportedly based on his childhood was recently screened at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre, and actress Kangana Ranaut was one of them who attended the screening.

During Kangana’s brief interaction with the media,  she praised the movie and said that film is not just about him, it is much more than that:

“The film has been made beautifully. It shows how Prime Minister Modi is a sensitive child who went through such extreme circumstances. But I feel this film is not about him. Rather it is about us – how the society needs to be together to rise. This film is just a small part of his life,”

When asked to analyze the last four years of PM Modi, she called him the most deserving candidate. She said:

“It’s not like he has reached this place because of his mother and father. He is the rightful leader of the democracy. We have voted him as our Prime Minister. This cannot be taken away from him. This is his well-deserved place which he has earned after sheer hard work. So, there shouldn’t be any doubt about his credibility as a Prime Minister.”

Also, when she was further asked about the possibility of him being the prime minister again, she confidently said:

“Ofcourse. Why not? Five years are very less to take the nation out of a pit. Our country is in a pit, we need to pull it out.”
Well, she has a point. Just like always. Right, guys?
